Turf
Rubber or Sand Infill
Sprinturf utilizes a patented 100%
all-rubber infill. As the pioneers of the system, we have been installing
all-rubber fields longer than anyone in the industry. Our vast research and
experience has shown that other synthetic turf infill systems are outdated and
obsolete, leading to the development of the non-abrasive,
non-compacting, all-rubber system.
Using an all-rubber infill is more
expensive than adding sand but the advantages are well worth it.
An all-rubber infill feels and reacts more like a natural
turf soil base. It can't over-compact
like sand so the G-Max (shock absorbency) won't change dramatically like those
systems.
Rubber
isn't porous like sand so it won't absorb odorous contaminants (pet urine,
excrement, fungus, algae, bacteria, saliva, etc.). Additionally,
rubber isn't abrasive like sand --many sand/rubber infill systems use over 50%
sand in their product -- some use up to 80%! The sand gets
in the eyes, cuts the synthetic fibers, stratifies to the bottom of the system
and clogs drainage.

Sprinturf uses only specially
cleaned and screened crambient rubber for its infill -- not dirty, cheap scrap
rubber that is of unknown origin and questionable quality.
In fact, our rubber infill is triple-cleaned -- the only rubber cleaned three
times on the market.
